THE SURE STEP FOOT REST Gramps Sure Step Foot Rest is ergonomically designed not only to provide comfort at home or at your work place, but to reduce stress due to sitting for long periods of time. Today most companies go to foreign countries to reduce production costs and are primarily interested in providing the consumer with a stool that is more appealing then functional. Gramps Wood Shop is old fashioned, my Sure Step Foot Rest is made here in America. My goal is to build you a foot rest that will serve a purpose.
Lower backaches are the second most common reasons for doctor visits, after cold and flu symptoms, and some 80% of Americans have back pain at some time in their lives. Do you know what to do for an aching back? A growing number of people are suffering from lower back and neck pain because they are not sitting at their computer properly. They are either leaning forward or sliding down in their chair causing undue strain on their back and neck. We all know that bad habits are hard to break. My Sure Step Foot Rest is designed to help you sit properly. It is angled to reduce pressure on the back of your thigh and helps you sit in the proper position to prevent you from leaning forward or to slouch, thereby reducing stress on the small of your back and neck. Gramps Sure Step Foot Rest can make sitting on your favorite chair or sofa at home or at your work place an enjoyable experience. You will be surprised the difference it makes.
To satisfy the needs of persons whose height range is from under 5'- 4" to over 6', I have designed 4 separate foot rests all with a 15 degree incline. The Basic Foot Rest is designed for persons who are 5' 10" or taller. It is the only foot rest where your heel sits on the floor and the ball of your foot rests on the stool. The actual size is 15" wide and 7.25" deep. All of the other three Foot Rests are 15" wide, 10" deep and the full foot sets upon the stool. The Foot Rest you select will be made of either solid oak or poplar. It comes fully assembled and is available in a color of your choice; see chart below for your selection.

After the proper Foot Rest is selected and you have decided upon the type of wood and finish, then place your order with me. I will cut, assemble, sand and stain your Foot Rest in the color of your choice. Then several coats of protective finish will be applied by hand. The end result is a high quality product at a reasonable price that you can use with confidence for years to come.
